Weiter geht’s bei unserem Tina-Turner-Flashmob-Countdown mit Silent Wings, das 1996 erschien und in Zusammenarbeit mit Sting entstand, dessen Stimme zum Ende des Songs zu hören ist. Der Song stellt nicht nur einen smoothen Einstieg ins Wochenende dar, sondern auch ein wunderschönes und poetisches Abschiedslied in einer endenden Beziehung. Die Formulierung „Leise Flügel“ hinterlässt dabei allerdings kein Gefühl der Verbitterung, sondern der Zuversicht, was für Abschiedslieder dieser Art nicht gerade üblich ist.
Abgesehen davon passen die „Leisen Flügel“ aber auch zu einer Aktion, über die wir heute in den Nachrichten lasen. In Linz (Österreich) findet heute der „No Music Day“ statt. Zur Erklärung lässt sich folgendes nachlesen: Der "No Music Day" lädt ein, 24 Stunden lang auf jede Form des Musikkonsums zu verzichten, um sich des enormen Stellenwerts von Musik in unserer Gesellschaft bewusst zu werden.
Also ganz auf Musik verzichten wollen wir heute nicht, deswegen also die “Leisen Flügel”…
