09/03/2010 - The Weary Kind

Nachdem wir gestern spekuliert hatten, wer wohl in den Musikkategorien bei der diesjährigen Oscar-Verleihung gewinnen würde, präsentieren wir euch heute wie versprochen die Gewinner.

Wir hatten ja die Vermutung angestellt, dass Avatar in der Kategorie "Beste Filmmusik" das Rennen machen würde, zumal die Musik aus der Feder des zweifachen Oscar-Gewinners James Horner stammt. Nun ist es aber anders gekommen:

In der Kategorie "Beste Filmmusik" holte sich der computeranimierte Spielfilm Oben mit der Musik von Michael Giacchino den Oscar. 2008 war Giacchino bereits für seine Musik in dem Film Ratatouille nominiert worden. Nun hat es in diesem Jahr für ihn geklappt.

Kommen wir zum "Besten Filmsong" und unserem heutigen Sofdy. Hier darf man Ryan Bingman und T-Bone Burnett (Musik und Liedtext) gratulieren. Mit dem Song The Weary Kind aus der Tragikomödie Crazy Heart ließen sie die Konkurrenz hinter sich. Ebenso Jeff Bridges, der als "Bester Hauptdarsteller" desselben Films gekürt wurde. Zur Handlung des Films:

Ein abgehalfteter Country-Sänger tingelt durch die USA und spielt in Etablissements, die ähnlich heruntergekommen sind wie er. Eines Tages trifft er die Journalistin Jean und verliebt sich in sie.
