Was könnte besser sein sein als ein motivierender Song zum Wocheneinstieg? Und so präsentieren wir euch Better Than des John Butler Trios. Besser als das geht es wahrlich kaum.

Und vom Thema "besser als" handelt ganz offensichtlich auch der Song selbst, denn er befasst sich damit, dass es im Leben nicht darum gehen sollte, sich vor Augen zu halten, was alles besser sein könnte, sondern die Magie des Augenblicks zu genießen:

Der australische Butler macht somit seinem Namen alle Ehre und räumt nicht nur mit ein paar Lebensauffassungen auf, sondern tischt uns auch noch echte, gute und hin- bzw. mitreißende Musik auf.

Für einen Montagmorgen genau das Richtige, oder nicht?

Eine Begebenheit im Zusammenhang mit diesem Song hat uns übrigens sehr gerührt, als wir bei unserer Recherche auf einer Lyrics-Website den folgenden Kommentar lasen:

several weeks ago the lyric and tune "you can do better than that" kept appearing in my dream but i didn't know the song. It has been important for me to track it down and see the rest of the lyrics as i believe my 19 year old son, who recently died was trying to give me a message through this song. Now i know what he has been trying to tell me.
